The Haiti Project
A PARTNERSHIP FOR THE ORPHANS AND VULNERABLE CHILDREN OF HAITI
Purpose
Haitian children are among the most vulnerable in the entire world. Children under age 15 make up about 40 percent of Haiti's population and number about 3.2 million. Twenty percent of these children - approximately 640,000 - live in extreme poverty, many on the streets. These children need a place to live and learn, nutritious food, medical care and spiritual support. In other words, they need help that touches every aspect of their lives.
The situation is desperate and tragic. But there is a solution.
About the Project
In partnership with Nueterra Healthcare, the One5 Foundation (One5) is addressing the housing, health care, educational, economic and spiritual needs of Haiti's abandoned and forgotten children. Through this partnership, we are building orphanages and medical clinics, and we are providing children with nutritious meals. They are going to school and growing up in a church family.
In cooperation with Nueterra Healthcare, the One5 provides the clinics and staff to deliver primary health care as well as specialized care, such as surgery, to the orphans and vulnerable children; and assists with the health care needs of the entire community.
The children of Haiti have their counterparts throughout the developing world. Partnerships like the one forged by the One5 and Nueterra Healthcare have the best chance of changing children's lives for the better. We intend to take this model and apply it wherever it's needed. Haiti is just the beginning.

How You Can Help
You can contribute to the work of The Haiti Project in several ways:
1) Volunteer your time in Haiti or in the U.S.
2) Send a donation to help provide medicine, vitamins, medical supplies and equipment.
3) Become a sponsor:
- $300-$1,500 will sponsor an entire orphanage for one month
- $7,500 will provide a nurse for an entire year
- $15,000 will provide a doctor for an entire year
- $25,000 will build a home for 60 children (you can sponsor a home alone or with a group)
- $80,000 will build a medical clinic that serves thousands of orphans and others living in extreme poverty
Your monetary donation or sponsorship will go entirely to those we serve. It will not be used to cover any administrative or other overhead costs, as these are handled by one of our partners.
