Need:
Extreme poverty and preventable diseases such as HIV/AIDS, malaria and TB continue to have a devastating impact on people living in resource-limited countries. Approximately 1 child dies every thirty seconds from malaria, with 1 child dying every minute from HIV/AIDS and a child losing a parent to AIDS-related causes every 14 seconds. These deaths are unfortunately distributed primarily among the poor with little or no access to the most basic health care with orphans and vulnerable children often bearing the greatest burden of these diseases.
Solution:
With our partners, the One5 Foundation believes in designing and providing optimal, as well as comprehensive care, for orphans and vulnerable children who are disproportionately affected by poverty and insidious diseases such as HIV/AIDS, malaria and TB. Working with our partners, in addition to providing medical treatment, we specialize in designing programs that focus on prevention and education.
