OVER 200 CHILDREN RECEIVE HEALTH ASSESSMENT

LEAWOOD, KAN-(Feb. 27, 2009)- Brad Gautney, Medical Operations Director of the Integral Life Foundation (ILF), returned from Haiti this week where he, along with two volunteers evaluated over 215 children living in the ESMI/C3 Orphanage in Gonaives/Fayeton, Haiti. Erik, a pediatric RN, and his wife Jamie Bayer, entered all of the children into Integral Life's Biometric System to record vital information to assist ILF in tracking the health status of each child. Brad, along with two Haitian physicians, performed medical assessments on each child and were able to treat acute medical needs that were identified.

Also, 2000 Permethrin-treated mosquito nets were delivered to Haiti this week to distribute to all ESMI/C3 orphanages in efforts to prevent malaria and dengue.

This trip was part of the overall mission of ILF to provide comprehensive medical care for children living in the network of ESMI/C3 orphanages in Haiti.
