PROGRESS IN AFRICA
LEAWOOD, KAN (October, 2009) - Our team recently returned from East Africa where they visited Malawi and Kenya. In Malawi, we were able to meet with new and existing partners, and hold a community health meeting in the Maganga Village to empower women to communicate their health care needs. One5 and its partners are in the early phase of building a birthing center and pediatric hospital in this village that will address the immediate health care needs of the people living in this region. In Kenya, we met with KEMRI to discuss current and future collaborations working with HIV/AIDS in both Africa and Haiti
