Our Philosophy
We have developed an "integrated" or "holistic" approach to our work. This strategy takes into account all aspects that are essential to any successful community – basic needs such as food, shelter and clothing, environment and infrastructure, education, health care, business enterprise investment and micro economic development. By providing individuals with the opportunity and means to develop their own skills and abilities, we strengthen the institutions and services that empower and sustain the entire community.
Our Vision
We see a great harvest from our efforts to build inner and outer wealth.
The fruit of outer wealth: We see healthy bodies, productive people, functional families as cradles of human dignity, dynamic economies, and a moral climate of respect and peace. All orphans and vulnerable children have a home, a school, a community, with opportunities to use their talents. Development in one area becomes a catalyst for development in another area while promoting the health of our planet.
The fruit of inner wealth: Competent indigenous leaders instill a love for their country yet lead with a global perspective of value for all life. Donors are transformed in the act of giving and discovering self in others. For every orphan and vulnerable child, loneliness is a temporary state of mind because communities provide a higher stage of living. Poverty is now a distant memory. Love is no longer just a word but a living verb in action and relationship.
